Coaching Feels Like a Big Investment
How Can I Justify the Cost?
Whilst the cost of coaching might seem substantial upfront, the long-term benefits will always outweigh the financial investment (providing the work and commitment is put in, of course!).
Coaching can lead to significant personal growth, increased well-being, long-term sustainable change, and lifelong fulfilment and contentment. The results are life-changing. It's about investing in yourself, your future, your happiness. You can't really put a price on yourself!
Although some people do invest in areas such as marriage counselling, depression & anxiety therapy, retreats, massage treatments etc, many here in the UK still do not feel as comfortable investing in themselves as in other parts of the world. This is despite the UK being noted for its robust mental health systems, efforts to reduce stigma, and the significant healthcare expenditures and investments in therapies.
Think about all of the things you spend a lot of money on...mortgages, cars, holidays, designer labels or shopping sprees, meals out, takeaways in, weekend beers, cocktails...
Most of the time these things are really only to try and make us feel...better: a sort of attempt to convince us that we're living the great life that we really want to lead. But too often they are just shiny on the outside and covering up deep and unconscious discontent, lack of connection and lack of self.
Yet people are scared to invest in coaching. One reason is because we don't value ourselves - which is exactly the reason that coaching is so necessary! But it's also because coaching is a courageous thing to do. It’s saying “I’ve had enough of this.” It’s sticking two fingers up to the world and declaring:
“Life is short. I want more from it than this!!”
The truth is that holidays make us feel good, but they only last for two weeks a year. Coaching gives us those same good feelings...
...for life, every day!!!
